Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication: Inside a Modern Manufacturing Facility

Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication is one of the core manufacturing processes in our factory. When a drawing is brought into the factory, it will not enter the production process directly.
From engineering review and mold development to stamping production, precision sheet metal processing, machining, and quality inspection, each step will affect the final product’s quality, cost, and delivery time.
This article will take you into our manufacturing workshop to see how a metal part transforms from a drawing step by step into a finished product.

Engineering Review and Process Planning

After each drawing is brought into the factory, it will first go through the engineering review process. Our 19 engineers all have extensive manufacturing experience, and most of them have over 10 years of industry experience.

Based on the project experience of manufacturing over 70,000 different metal parts, the engineering team will first confirm the product structure, tolerance requirements, and production feasibility.

Key points analyzed during the review:

  • Whether the product is suitable for mass production stamping
  • Whether CNC finishing is required
  • Risk of deformation during forming
  • Whether the material selection is reasonable
  • Which process route offers better cost advantages

After the engineering review is completed, the production department simultaneously formulates material procurement plans and production schedules to prepare for subsequent manufacturing.

Tooling Development and Stamping Production

For batch orders, tooling development is an important step before formal production. The engineering team completes the tooling design and verifies the trial tooling against the product structure to confirm dimensional accuracy and tooling performance before entering mass production.

The factory currently has 38 stamping equipment units ranging from 80 tons to 400 tons, which can meet the production needs of various metal part specifications.

During stamping production, materials undergo continuous processing, enabling multiple operations such as punching, blanking, forming, flanging, and shaping. This production method can effectively enhance production efficiency while maintaining long-term, stable batch consistency.

Currently, in the industrial equipment parts, electronic structural components, mechanical components, and automotive accessory parts we produce, a large number of products are manufactured by stamping.

Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication for Prototyping and Small Batch

For sample development, small-batch orders, and complex-structure products, we adopt the Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication production model. The factory is equipped with:

⚡ 6KW laser cutting equipment
🌀 Bending machine
🤝 Automatic spot welding machine + Electric welding production line

It can quickly complete processing tasks for sheet and pipe materials. For complex structural parts, it can be put into production quickly without the need to develop molds.

Through the combination of laser cutting, forming processing, and welding assembly, we can help customers meet product verification, sample development, and small-batch production requirements.
This flexible manufacturing method can effectively shorten the product development cycle and improve the project’s response speed.

CNC Machining Capabilities

For high-precision holes, installation surfaces, and key mating structures, we will conduct secondary fine processing.
The factory is equipped with 2 five-axis CNC machining centers and 3 vertical machining centers, capable of processing complex structural components and high-precision parts.
By integrating stamping, Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication, and CNC machining into a single production system, the quality risks and delivery uncertainties associated with outsourcing can be reduced, while overall production efficiency improves.

Surface Treatment and Product Assembly

After the structural processing is completed, the product enters the post-processing stage.

The factory has two surface-treatment production lines that can provide different surface-treatment solutions according to customer requirements. Common applications include powder coating, electroplating, and anti-corrosion protection.

For projects that require assembly and delivery, we can also complete product assembly and functional verification.

From the manufacturing process to final delivery, all procedures comply with the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, ensuring consistent product quality.

Full-process Quality Control

Quality control runs through the entire production process. From the entry of raw materials into the factory to the shipment of the products, corresponding inspection standards have been established for every key stage. The factory is equipped with:

Coordinate Measuring Machine
Hardness tester
Surface Roughness Tester

Quality management coverage: incoming material inspection, first-piece verification, process inspection, and shipment inspection. For critical dimensions and complex structural components, CMM testing can provide precise verification to ensure products meet design requirements.

Why are More and More Customers Choosing One-stop Manufacturing Factories?

A complete metal part project usually involves multiple steps, including stamping, precision sheet metal factories, machining, surface treatment, and assembly. If these processes are distributed among multiple suppliers, it will increase communication costs and affect the efficiency of project delivery.

✔ By integrating engineering review, mold development, stamping production, precision sheet metal processing, CNC machining, surface treatment, and quality inspection within the same factory, customers can obtain:

  • ✔ Shorter delivery cycle
  • ✔ More stable product quality
  • ✔ Higher communication efficiency
  • ✔ Lower supply chain risk

For long-term cooperation projects, integrated manufacturing capabilities can significantly enhance project execution efficiency.

From the blueprint to the finished product, we assist our clients in achieving efficient manufacturing. Whether you need large-scale stamped parts, precise sheet-metal samples, or high-precision CNC components, we can provide end-to-end solutions.
